I say you need to see four or five episodes before saying how bad any show is.

• Ho iniziato in teatro e ho ottenuto molte parti comiche. E perché sono stato lì, che posso dire che è più facile interpretare personaggi più seri, ma essere sul palco come comico in realtà mi ha dato molta fiducia in me stesso, quindi non ho più paura. Non ho paura di essere aperto, per esempio di piangere, di mostrare tutto quello che c'è dentro di me... Quindi per me mi ha aiutato, essere sul palco e svilupparmi lentamente in un caratterista più serio. E sto invecchiando. Anche il tempo aiuta... Penso che sia più difficile fare il contrario. Penso che sia più difficile per un attore serio essere improvvisamente divertente.

I started out in theater and got a lot of comedian parts in theater. And because I have been there, and not to say that it’s easier to play more serious characters, but part of that being on stage as a comedian actually gave me a lot of confidence so I’m not afraid anymore. I'm not afraid to be open, for instance to cry, to show all that’s inside of me… So for me it helped me, being onstage being and slowly developing into a more serious character actor. And I’m getting older. Time helps as well… I think its harder to do it the other way around. I think it’s harder for a serious actor to suddenly be funny.

• Stanislavski una volta ha scritto delle tecniche esteriori e interiori. L'interiore riguarda la psicologia, partendo dall'interno e costruendo il tuo personaggio secondo il metodo americano di recitazione. La tecnica esteriore riguarda l'adattamento di un personaggio osservandolo e formandone un'immagine. Io utilizzo sicuramente l'ultimo metodo.

Stanislavski once wrote about outer and inner techniques. The inner is about psychology, starting from the inside and building up your character in the American method-acting way. The outer technique is about adapting a character by observing and forming an image of it. I definitely use the last method.
