*Come premessa, si può porre la domanda: il bantu e l'europeo dovranno in futuro svilupparsi come comunità miste, o come comunità separate fra di loro per quanto sia praticamente possibile? Se la risposta è «comunità miste», allora bisogna capire il seguente. Ci sarà concorrenza e conflitto ovunque. Per quanto saranno comparativamente pochi i punti di contatto, com'è il caso ora, il tumulto e il conflitto sarà diminuito e meno evidente. Più però si sviluppa questo mescolamento, più forte diventerà il conflitto. In un tale conflitto, gli europei, almeno per un lungo periodo, terranno la posizione più forte, e il bantu sarà la parte sconfitta in ogni fase dello scontro.
