==Citazioni di Dirk Bogarde==
*Con [[Luchino Visconti‎|Visconti]] sapevo di essere nelle mani di un maestro. Do ai registi quello che ho. Sono una palla di argilla nelle loro mani, ma mi piace provare le cose a modo mio oltre che al loro. Con Visconti ho fattofacevi quello che ha dettodiceva, e basta. Era un gigante in tutto.
:''“With Visconti, I knew I was in the hands of a master. I give directors what I have. I'm a ball of clay in their hands – but I like to try things my way as well as theirs. With Visconti you did what he said, and that was it. He was a giant in everything.''<ref>{{en}} Dall'intervista di William Green sul ''Telegraph Sunday Magazine'', ''[https://dirkbogarde.co.uk/magazine/telegraph-sunday-magazine-mar-23-1980/ Writer waiting in the wings]'', ''dirkbogarde.co.uk'', 23 marzo 1980.</ref>

Riga 9:
:''Judy Garland and Roddy McDowall were my chums there, but I saw Hollywood when it was scraping bottom. It was an unhappy time for unhappy people in an unhappy place. I've never had a great deal of time for the Hollywood-producer mentality. When you boil it down, the good films get made by a bunch of chums in spite of the so-called film makers. This business has been raped and pillaged – by unethical producers, talentless directors and the big star names.''<ref>{{en}} Citato in David Castel su ''Films and Filming'', ''[https://dirkbogarde.co.uk/magazine/films-and-filming-oct-1975/ Dirk Bogarde's cup is full – and his septic tank is overflowing…]'', ''dirkbogarde.co.uk'', ottobre 1975.</ref>

:''I do not see the point in going into a room on your own for six hours and coming out thinking you're a tin of condensed milk. That seems to me the wrong way around to go about acting. And I’ve found that every [[Method acting|Method actor]] always asks why but they never ask how. They always say, “What's my motivation?” I say your motivation Is your pay check, that’s it. But act, for fuck’s sake. They read like parrots, or mumble; they don’t project. When I say the camera photographs thought, it does, but it's a total concentration on identifying with your character. If you don't do that, if the thought is not there, the camera will just photograph an empty cranium.''<ref>{{en}} Dall'intervista di ''Interview'', ''[https://dirkbogarde.co.uk/magazine/interview-jan-1991/ Dirk Bogarde]'', ''dirkbogarde.co.uk'', gennaio 1991.</ref>
